Adult Swim Lessons
Just the Basics - Swimming for the Beginner
Limited or no experience in the water. Gain confidence and basic skills that will enable you to swim for recreation and fun throughout your life.
Intermediate Swim
For adults with basic swimming skills. Skills covered include the front crawl, elementary backstroke and back crawl. Learn proper body position, kicking, arm motion and breathing techniques. Deep water skills will also be introduced.
Lap Swimming
72 laps = 1 mile (1 lap = 25 yards)
The Lap Pool is for lap swimmers or lap exercise. Children under the age of 14 may lap swim upon the completion of a lap swim evaluation (2 continuous laps = 50 yards). Keep track of your laps and earn prizes in our free lap swim club. See a lifeguard to join.
Open Swim
Available for adults and children in the recreational section of the program pool. No inflatable flotation devices are permitted. See Aquatics schedule for open swim times.

The Whirlpool
For members and guests age 18 and over. Please note precautions listed at the whirlpool area.
Lifeguard Training
An American Red Cross certification course covering lifeguard training, community first aid and CPR. To qualify to take the course, students must be able to swim 300 yards continuously, front crawl, side stroke, breaststroke and be able to tread water for two minutes, submerge and retrieve a ten-pound object. 15 years and older (ID required).
Children under 10 years of age must be accompanied by an adult at all times in the Aquatic Center unless they pass the junior swim test or are in an Aquatics program.
