Tween Intro to Fitness at Club Fit Jefferson Valley

On the second Saturday of every month!

Fitness for your young adults? You bet! Done properly, strength training offers many bonuses to young athletes. as well as for kids who simply want to look and feel better. In fact, getting your child started early Fitness will put your child on a lifetime path to better health and wellness. For tweens, light resistance and controlled movements are best — with a special emphasis on proper technique and safety. 

This introductory class will teach your child gym etiquette, how to correctly use the fitness machines and free weights, some exercises using his or her own body weight, and some stretching and abdominal exercises. 

Lifting too much weight at this age can put too much strain on young muscles, tendons and areas of cartilage that haven’t yet turned to bone (growth plates). During this class proper technique is emphasized in favor of lifting larger amounts of weight.
