Tips for Your Physical Health
We hope you are trying to find ways to stay active and keep moving throughout the day, and we are here to provide you with some tips to do so.
If the weather is nice get outside and walk your driveway, parking lot, lawn or road if you can. Walk your dog several times a day. Remember jump ropes? Use one now if you have one. Put on music and dance! Try creating your own choreography. Clean and sanitize the house! Dusting the shelves, vacuuming, mopping the floor, and folding laundry burns calories too! If you need to stay inside there are plenty of bodyweight workouts you can do. These workouts can be done in front of the TV while you binge your next Netflix or Hulu show (you can do these outside as well!)
- Jog in place
- High Knees
- Jumping Jacks
- Push Ups
- Sit Ups
- Crunches (Regular or Bicycle)
- Mountain Climbers
If you want to add a little resistance and don’t have weights at home there are plenty of household objects you can use in their place like water bottles, milk jugs, laundry detergent, paint cans, canned goods, books, etc. Be as creative as possible. Get the kids involved as well and try to get in at least 30 minutes of exercise a day!
