Subject: Why You Should Make Friends with the Indoor Rowing Machine
Hi, I’m Candice O’Brien — Certified Personal Trainer, Spin Instructor, and Fit Coach at Club Fit Briarcliff. I have over 20 years in the fitness industry.
My passion for running, and ONLY running for many years, led me to several injuries, due to overtraining and the fact that I NEVER stretched or cross-trained. As a single, working mother, there was no time for that stuff!! While injured and not able to run, I joined a gym to do some strength training (recommended by a physical therapist). It was at that time I decided to hop on a rowing machine as a warm up before moving on to weights.After five minutes, it became evident that there is more to this machine than meets the eye… it turned out to be my best friend!
