7-Week Session Runs:
July 11th – August 25th
This class is designated for adults who seriously want to incorporate swimming into their fitness program. Classes will initially focus on proper stroke technique and mechanics for the first week but will implement a rigorous training routine every session after week one.
Workouts will be written and coached by a NY State and USA Swimming certified coach with over twenty years’ experience. Workouts will be organized and structured with the goal of implementing a fitness program that challenges each swimmer to improve their ability as a fitness swimmer. Upon completion of the course, swimmers will have an understanding and ability to write and implement their own swimming sets, will have acquired knowledge and understanding of pace clock training, and will have the ability to incorporate swim training into their fitness program that goes beyond just swimming laps to get in shape.
Prerequisite: Swimmers who are interested in signing up for this class do not need a competitive swimming background, but a moderate level of swimming ability is necessary. This class is designated for those who utilize the aquatics facility to swim laps as part of their fitness program, but have the motivation and desire to push their aquatics training up to the next level.
Tuesdays & Thursdays from 6:30 – 7:30 pm in the Lap Pool
