Bring lunch and water
This hike will start at the parking lot on Snake Hill Road and go to the North Redoubt and then through the Garrison School Forest to the South Redoubt, where the Americans stationed cannons during the revolution. We will take lunch at the South Redoubt where there is a kiosk detailing the history of the area and a very scenic view of the Hudson River and the US Military Academy at West Point. The incline is gradual, but long. The parking area is on Snake Hill Road, ¼ mile east of NY 9D, on the south side of the road.

Michael has been hiking trails in the Hudson Valley since he was a young boy. He has been hiking with the hiking club for the past 10 years. Michael is Red Cross certified in adult first aid/CPR/AED and has been living in Yorktown since 1996 with his daughters.
