Instructor Scott Verardo

Scott spent a 30 plus years career as a Local 40 Union NYC Structural Ironworker where he gained a high level mastery over fear while maintaining balance and grace in a physically demanding job working on many of the bridges and buildings in and around NYC and gained great knowledge in the realm of applied mechanical and structural engineering.

Scott’s fascination & interest in awareness and mastery of his own body started at young age. Always fascinated and interested in anti-aging, life extension, well-being, Scott immersed himself in learning and understanding nutrition, supplementation, and other external elixirs in his 20s, and added physical fitness and exercise in his 30s into his already impressive resume.

In his mid-30s, keenly observing the limitations of physical and supplemental aid in longevity, Scott explored with Qigong, self-yoga, and an exclusive self-body therapy called Yamuna Body Rolling, then progressed to become an instructor and master trainer of Yamuna Body Rolling, followed by the more exclusive form of hands on therapeutic bodywork called Yamuna Body Logic.

As a veteran and accomplished Pilate student and teacher Scott created Elixir Pilate “Contrology evolved”. Elixir Pilate emphasis is on internal flow of elixir through Pilates unlike many hardcore external sculpting trends we find in modern fitness sector.

Recently, Scott’s fascination led him to study the Neural Endocrine systems, Psychoneuroimmunology, stress hormones, the nervous system, and epigenetics. He is currently experimenting the way to combine the bodyweight training and calisthenics to resolve gravity from within.

Certified Personal and Group Fitness Trainer and specializes in:

  • Cardio respiratory, resistance and weight training, modified and applied flexibility training, postural balance, coordination and core training,
  • Muscle release /sport massage, Therapeutic fitness, Breathing techniques/breath training meditation, Yoga, Pilates, Water Aerobics.
