At 92 years young, I’ve learned that staying active and connected is the key to a fulfilling life. I’ve been a proud member of Club Fit for 38 years, and in that time, I’ve seen the club grow and evolve—just like I have. For most of my life, I lived in Ossining, but now I call Briarcliff home. No matter where I am, Club Fit has always been a constant. It’s more than just a gym—it’s a community. The people here, especially the fitness professionals, keep me motivated. Donna Berta, the club’s fitness director, has been a true inspiration. She’s passionate about helping people live well, and her energy is contagious. “She’s a big reason I keep moving,” I always say. Tennis has been a part of my routine for years, and with Heath Hoover coaching me, I still look forward to my weekly classes. I also take part in the Forever Fit program, which helps me stay strong and active every day. Beyond the workouts, what really stands out to me is the way Club Fit cares about people. I’ll never forget when they opened their doors to the community during Hurricane Sandy. That’s the kind of place this is—always looking out for others. Their partnerships with local organizations make this gym feel like family. I’m incredibly grateful for the Beck and Swope families for creating this space where people of all ages can stay healthy and connected. Whether it’s my time on the tennis court, my volunteer work, or playing music in the community, I believe in staying engaged. Life doesn’t slow down just because you get older—you just have to keep moving. Club Fit has been a big part of my journey, and I hope my story inspires others to stay active, stay involved, and most importantly, stay connected.
