BRIARCLIFF AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM

The After School Program is available to Club Fit members with children in Kindergarten through age 12 who attend a full day of school at one of our participating elementary schools. Sibling discounts are applied to Club Fit membership dues. The cancellation policy for the After School Program follows the terms outlined in the Club Fit membership agreement. General After School Care

PICK UP BY 7:00 PM

Before School Care

STARTS AT 7:00 AM

Monthly payments are billed on the first of each month from September through May. The first monthly payment includes September, June (in advance), and the $50 enrollment fee, making it higher than the remaining monthly payments. After that first payment, standard monthly payments continue through May 1st, with the June payment covering the final month of the program if the child remains enrolled for the full duration.

ARRIVAL/DISMISSAL PROCEDURES

Two Tags: Each child will receive two key tags—one for them to keep clipped on their backpack, and one for you to keep on your keyring. Additional tags available.
Check-In: The child’s tag will be scanned at check-in each day.
Check-Out: You’ll need to scan the second tag at pick-up to check your child out.
Please make sure to attach the child’s tag securely to their backpack and keep your tag on your keyring for easy access. This system is a simple yet effective way to enhance our current protocols.
For the first week of school parental ID is required.

HOURS

Participants are allowed 3 hours for after care. All busses are here by 4:00 pm, which means pick-up is NO later than 7:00 pm.

SCHOOL’S OUT HALF-DAY PROGRAM

November 25th and June 25th are the only scheduled half-days on the Ossining School District calendar. We will offer a half-days on those days at an additional cost of $50 (half-day pricing). Registration for these days will follow the same process as regular Schools Out Day sign-ups.
For emergency or unplanned early dismissals (e.g., weather-related), families will have one hour from the bus arrival time at Club Fit to pick up their child. SCHOOL’S OUT DAYS

If there is no school for Ossining—and it is on the district calendar—we will run a School’s Out Day which runs from 9:00 am–3:00 pm. The child will have a day of sports, games and crafts throughout the day. School’s Out Days participants then have the additional 3 hours for late pick-up and need to be picked up by 6:00 pm at the latest. These days require separate registration and payment. ($)

ACTIVITIES

Energy Center staff will not escort children to any activities outside of the Energy Center, including swim lessons. Parents/guardians are responsible for picking up their child and bringing them to any outside activities, or for arranging pickup directly with coaches (e.g., tennis, basketball, etc.). For swim lessons, parents/guardians must sign their child out of the Energy Center and escort them to the Aquatics Center.

SNACKS

Parents should pack their child with an extra snack that they can eat when they arrive at Club Fit after school. If they do not bring snack from home, they will not have snack that day. We ask to avoid snacks with peanuts or any nuts since there are so many allergies.

ATTENDANCE

If your child is not going to be coming to the after-school program, please email jordyn.coitino@clubfit.com to let us know. We follow the Ossining school calendar and have programs for days off and half-days; check the web during inclement weather.

HEALTH SERVICES

Bumps and Bruises
Bumps, bruises and scratches may happen. We will take care of our after-schoolers and get them back playing. Rather than disrupt you with every minor medical concern we will only contact you in the case of a more serious injury. With every injury we will fill out an accident report.

Allergies/Medications
Please alert us of any allergies & medications your child will need at Club Fit

If a Child needs to take allergy medication during the day, he/she must follow these procedures:

A parent/guardian should hand all medications to the program director

EARLY DISMISSALS

If there is an early dismissal due to weather, OSSINING children will be bussed to Club Fit since it is their primary bus stop. Children will need to be picked up as soon as possible.

Before School Program Weather Policy

Please note that our delayed school opening policy is as follows:

1 hour School Delay – We will open on time at 7:00am
2 hour School Delay – We will open at 8:00am
3 hour School Delay – We open at 9:00am

If schools are delayed and then closed, if you have already dropped your child/children off at the Club, you will need to return to pick them up by the 3 hour mark from the time we opened that day. For your reference, the timeframes are as follows:

1 hour School Delay then School closed – Pick up by 10:00am
2 hour School Delay then School closed – Pick up by 11:00am
3 hour School Delay then School closed – Pick up by 12:00pm

CANCELLATION POLICY

The after-school program is billed one month in advance, separate from membership billing. For example, September program fees are charged on August 1. A participant who desires to voluntarily resign from the After School Program must provide written notice of such resignation to the Club. Written notice may be provided via email, or letter, or by stopping by the Club. All cancellation requests, must be received by the Club within (3) three business days of the 22nd of any month to avoid renewal for the following month’s dues and to avoid future monthly charges. If your request comes in after the deadline, your program registration will be canceled at the end of the following month.
