Yoga For Osteoporosis- Lisa Thomas
In this class led by Lisa Thomas, certified in The Fishman Method, the focus is on the safety of yoga for individuals with osteopenia and osteoporosis. Lisa will teach 12 specific yoga poses designed to increase bone mineral density. These poses have been shown to help prevent and potentially reverse bone loss. When practiced consistently for a specific amount of time, these poses can provide significant benefits for bone health and overall well being. No prior yoga experience is necessary. 12 yoga postures (3-levels: beginner, intermediate & classical) are performed on the mat, seated, and standing and will be adapted for participants of all ages and abilities by using props (chairs, blocks, yoga belts).
