Past the Yorktown DogPark is the Mohegan Granite Quarry which provided granite for many buildings in NYC, White Plains and Washington, D.C. The trails are surrounded by piles of cut granite, abandoned machinery, streams and ponds. Lunch will be taken at the new ball fields at Granite Knolls near the pickleball courts sponsored by Club Fit.
Meeting place: Parking lot at end of Morris Lane. Enter “Yorktown Community Dog Park” in to GPS for directions. Morris Lane goes from Lexington Avenue to a parking lot at the trailhead.

Michael has been hiking trails in the Hudson Valley since he was a young boy. He has been hiking with the hiking club for the past 10 years. Michael is Red Cross certified in adult first aid/CPR/AED and has been living in Yorktown since 1996 with his daughters.
