Tennis anyone? When our club was founded, it was part of an existing tennis club. Almost 45 years later, tennis is an integral part of the Club Fit experience.
For summer play, we have four outdoor har-tru courts and two indoor hard surface courts. In the winter, our bubble houses the har-tru courts plus we still have two indoor hard surface courts. Our tennis offerings include private & semi-private lessons for all ages, competitive leagues, fun round robin events, cardio tennis, USTA team clinics, adult clinics, tennis camp, and a strong junior development program. Strings don’t have to break to go bad. As the strings get older, they will lose tension and will feel different. This can affect your shots, making them less effective and you may struggle to compensate for your racquet’s change in feel. You may ask, “How often should I restring my racquet?” The rule of thumb is that you should restring your racquet as many times each year as you play each week. Club Fit Jefferson Valley’s Tennis Professional, Akia Gore, is available to assist you with any questions you may have regarding stringing your racquet. All work is done in the Tennis Office. A variety of strings are offered: Synthetic Gut, Polyesters, Multifilament, and Natural Gut as well as grip replacement and over grips. You can also supply your own strings and/or request a specific string that may not be on the Racquet Stringing Form. Akia will answer your questions and concerns to ensure that your racquet stringing requests are personally met. Racquet Stringing Forms are at the Reception Desk for your convenience.
